Objective-C/Java Bridge released on alcheMo for iPhone

OBJECTIVE-C/JAVA BRIDGE NOW AVAILABLE FOR ALCHEMO FOR IPHONE

Innaworks is pleased to release the much anticipated Objective-C/Java bridge for alcheMo for iPhone today. With this enhancement Innaworks' fully automated Java ME to iPhone porting and transcoding solution is the ideal environment for developing iPhone applications with native look and feel using the Java language. 

The Objective-C/Java bridge offers a powerful, flexible and simple-to-use bi-directional interop mechanism enabling Java code to call Objective-C code, and vice versa. Innaworks also provides a Java stub generator to automate the generation of Java interfaces to arbitrary Objective-C libraries. This combination of Objective-C/Java bridge and Java stub generator makes it possible for developers to access a vast range of iPhone APIs in Java.

This powerful new feature opens up many possibilities, including:

• Developers can use the bridge to access the Cocoa API to develop applications that fully embrace the iPhone look and feel
• Developers can access iPhone APIs not yet available through a Java JSR
• Developers can design iPhone application user interfaces using Apple's Interface Builder, and access the Interface Builder generated .NIB files through the bridge
