Superscape licenses mBooster optimization technology

7 September 2005

Innaworks Development Limited, the world's leading optimization expert for mobile games and applications, announces today the signing of a technology partnership agreement with Superscape Group Plc. The company's automated optimization technology, mBooster, will be utilised by Superscape to produce all new 2D and 3D mobile games for 12 months.

mBooster alleviates two key technological barriers facing mobile game and application developers today: the size constraint and the performance constraint. It automatically reduces the size and increases the performance of mobile games and applications for the J2ME platform, a version of the computer language Java used for cell phones, PDAs (personal digital assistants) and other consumer appliances. Three years in research and development, mBooster incorporates important advances in compiler technologies and compression technologies.

Superscape Group plc, is the world's leading 3D mobile games publisher and the company's games are being distributed on fifteen of the largest networks around the globe. David Brittain, Technology Lead, Publishing at Superscape said: "We are extremely excited about the impact mBooster has on our productivity and creative freedom. Through utilising mBooster we are able to maximise the talent of our development team to create even more compelling content, and still fit these games within the handset constraints."

Stephen Cheng, CEO of Innaworks added that he was "particularly excited about the opportunity to work with the industry leader Superscape in advancing the industry standard of 3D mobile games. This partnership is an excellent demonstration that the mBooster technology benefits not only 2D mobile games for mainstream consumer devices, but also immersive content pushing the limits of high-end handsets".
